"Art village without borders, where collaboration replaces competition, where artists across Europe unite to create, inspire, and sustain the soul of our society."

THE VISION: With support from the European Union, European Theatre and Film Institute,
is creating Artville, an ambitious cultural initiative designed to unite artists across
Europe into one vibrant, connected neighbourhood.

Across the countries surrounding Belgium, there is a rich landscape of theatres,
art institutions, dance companies, film studios, cultural associations, music ensembles,
jazz bands, and orchestras.
Many of these groups work with limited resources, some supported by municipalities
or regional funds, others relying entirely on private means.

ARAL SEA PROJECT

Through theatre, film, and dialogue, we shed light on one of the world’s most urgent
ecological challenges: the near disappearance of the Aral Sea, once the fourth-largest
inland sea on Earth.

Together, we envision a small-scale yet impactful initiative to promote
environmental sustainability through the power of theatre and film.
Dry Tears: Aral Sea Legend, narrated in English by Emma Thompson.

The documentary tells the story of the Aral Sea, once the world’s
fourth-largest inland sea, now almost vanished due to human-driven
environmental catastrophe. Filmed on its shores, it captures the history,
Together, we can inspire change, foster awareness,
and mobilize communities toward meaningful action.
